35 Suspected Criminals Arrested By The Police In Katsina State

The Katsina State Police Command had yesterday arrested 35 suspected criminals involved in cattle rustling, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

The suspects are said to have been arrested at different locations by operatives of the “Operation Puff Adder” and are said to belong to 13 different notorious syndicates operating within the state.

This was disclosed at a press conference held yesterday at the command headquarters in Katsina State.

The Operatives’ recovered items included 36 firearms, 169 rounds of live ammunition, 32 cattles, 13 sheeps, 3 goats, 2 motorcycles, 34 bags of Rice, one bag of sugar, 6 gallons of cooking oil, the sum of 900,000 Naira and six assorted GSM handsets from the bandits.

Sanusi Buba, the State’s Police Commissioner, while describing the achievement recorded by the command as impressive and laudable sought for credible and actionable intelligence from members of the public to help stem the tide of banditry, kidnapping and cattle rustling in the state.
